Former podcast guest Daniel McConnell, now working for the Irish Examiner has teamed up with John Lee, political editor of the Irish Daily Mail to release a book "Hell at the Gates" that documents the political situation around the bank guarantee of 2008 where the Irish Government agreed to take a bailout from the Troika in order to save Ireland’s failing economy and in particular its failing banks.
