Jamie and the Magic Torch was a cartoon written and narrated by Brian Trueman, who also gave us Danger Mouse and Count Duckula. Every episode began the same, when everyone else had gone to sleep Jamie would get up and point his magic torch at the floor. Himself and his dog, Wordsworth, would then head off to Cuckoo Land, where we would meet characters such as Officer Gotcha, Mr.Boo and Wellybob the cat.
This is from the seventies, but like most kids tv, was repeated throughout the eighties. I must admit I mainly remember this for the outstanding theme song, which Supergrass would be proud of, check it out in "The Ghost of Spiny Mountain".
