For this entry in "They Don't Make Them Like They Used To" I've gone back to the year of my birth. Tommy Tutone were a power pop band who scored big with this pop gem about getting a girls number from a toilet bathroom in 1981, getting as high as #4 on the Billboard chart. Unlike in movies where they use 555 as a dialing code to avoid anyone's real number being used, 8675309 is a real number in most states in the US and leads to constant abuse of people ringing up looking for Jenny. I presume Springsteen is a fan as the opening riff is quite similar to "Radio Nowhere"
